At our quiet, rural studio just outside of Southampton, you can get hands-on at one of our workshops. Our focus is on wheel thrown ceramics, and creating a peaceful environment where you have the space and time to explore the basics of pottery. Whether you've worked with clay before or not, we'll work with you to create pieces you're proud to take home.
Little Dog Pottery is run by mother and daughter duo, Caroline and Beth, and occasionally their horde of little dogs. Having started pottery as a hobby together many years ago, we are excited to share our studio space and expertise with those looking to try their hand at something new.
Caroline's ceramic work is heavily inspired by nature, exploring forms, patterns and colours taken from all sorts of different flora and fauna. With a varied creative career spanning textiles and interiors, Caz's creativity knows no bounds, and her patience and eye for detail make her a fantastic teacher. She is often joined in the studio by her mini sausage dogs!
Beth's pottery is bold and fun. Mixing decals, patterns and colours, her work would not look out of place in a maximalist setting. Having worked in the graphic design industry for many years, she enjoys clay as it allows her to get hands on, and her confidence is a great asset as a teacher. She is often joined in the studio by her chihuahuas!
